PHOTOGRAPHY & SOUND INSTALLATION

This interactive installation explores the diversity of Aarhus K, a constantly changing part of the city, through the perspectives of the people who inhabit, use, visit, or pass through the area. It uses the physical montages of photographs taken based on participants' statements or requests, accompanied by soundscapes composed of ambient sounds from the area and interview snippets.

Collectively, we decided to use unedited film photography as a medium for the montage to capture the raw moment, in order to truly represent the people from Aarhus K. As compared to the new developments, Aarhus K is a space for the people by the people, in terms of placement it's not necessarily organized or staged. This feeling of keeping it real and raw is something we wanted to keep consistent in our installation.

This was done in Aarhus, Denmark as a collaborative piece between the anthropology and multimedia students.
